Writing a Conclusion - Advice for Writing a Good Ending

Writing a Conclusion - Advice for Writing a Good EndingAs someone who has written a lot of papers, essays and dissertations, I would like to take a moment to address the subject of writing a conclusion. This is something that many people do not seem to take enough time to consider when they are writing their final paper, thesis or dissertation. In my opinion, the best conclusion to write is a thank you note to your reader. It is not that important if the person reads it or not, but writing a closing or 'thank you' is what is going to help solidify your reputation as an author. If you are unsure of how to write a conclusion, here are some tips:Start off by thanking the reader for reading your article. This should be a thank you note that says you listened to the things that they have to say. It should also thank them for taking the time to read your paper. This will tell them that you understand that they took the time to read your article.Next, mention how much you enjoyed what you re ad. Although I usually skip this, I want to point out that you can add a little more details to this statement. For example, you can say that it was fun to read about. If you can relate it to a hobby, that is even better.Lastly, say that you are glad that the reader took the time to read your paper. When you have taken the time to answer the question, 'why do you want to know why,' you are able to move on with a conclusion. You should also let them know that you will be sending them something from you.You will be helping the reader understand your intent and purpose in your essay, thesis or dissertation by writing a conclusion. You should also write this idea down because it will help you remember how to write a conclusion the next time you have to write one.Do not rush your conclusion. Write it slowly and deliberately, focusing on the details that you have shared throughout the rest of your essay or thesis. Finally, say that you appreciate the time that the reader took to read your article and that you look forward to working with them again. With these tips, you should be able to get started on writing a conclusion that will leave your reader impressed.
